Dhaka, Jan. 16 -- The Election Commission (EC) has announced a revised election schedule for the Pabna-1 and Pabna-2 seats after a court ruling resolved a dispute over constituency boundaries.
Under the new timetable, candidates have until Sunday to submit nomination papers. The commission said candidates who had previously submitted nomination papers for the constituencies will be required to file them again if they wish to contest the election.
Voting in the two constituencies will be held on Feb 12, in line with the rest of the country, as part of Bangladesh's 13th parliamentary election.
Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud said the polls would be held under the revised boundaries approved by the court.
