Dhaka, June 20 -- The Election Commission (EC) has finalised the "Code of Conduct for Political Parties and Candidates 2025" for the next general election that forbids use of posters and sets the maximum fine at Tk 150,000.
Disqualification remains the highest penalty for violations.
The code received final approval at the commission's seventh meeting on Thursday, which began at 11:15am and lasted three hours, presided over by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin.
