Dhaka, Feb. 1 -- The Election Commission (EC) has adopted a strict stance on neutrality in the run-up to the parliamentary polls and referendum, according to Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah.
Speaking on Sunday in Barishal, he said all officials involved in the election process must act with complete impartiality, warning of "serious consequences" for any proven bias.
"We have no small parties or big parties, no heavyweight or lightweight candidates. Everyone is equal to us and must be treated equally," Sanaullah added.
