Dhaka, Feb. 12 -- Doctors at the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital in Dhaka are conducting a work stoppage after allegations of an attack by fourth-grade officials.

All medical services, aside from the outdoor and emergency departments at the hospital, have been suspended as of 10am on Wednesday due to the strike.

A doctor at the hospital said that Dr Gurudas Mandal, a member of the pro-Awami League doctors' association Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad, had been transferred to Pabna Medical College Hospital about four months ago. Recently, he was brought back again, stirring anger among doctors in favour of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.
