Dhaka, March 12 -- DNA samples have been collected from three out of the four accused in the "rape" of an 8-year-old girl in Magura.

On Tuesday, the three male perpetrators were brought to the CID's DNA profiling lab in Dhaka, where samples were collected, according to Md Mirajul Islam, additional superintendent of police in Magura.

He also said that the victim's DNA has been submitted to the lab, which was collected after she was admitted to Magura 250 Bed Hospital.

Once the samples were collected, they were returned to the Magura District Jail, said Mirajul.

The family alleged that the child was raped on Mar 6 while visiting her sister's house in Magura. She was first taken to Magura Sadar Hospital. As her condition deteriorated, sh...
