Dhaka, Dec. 10 -- The digital lottery for admission to grades 1 to 9 in government and private schools across metropolitan areas and district and Upazila towns is set to take place on Thursday.

With more than 150,000 applicants waiting for their fate, the draw will begin at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka's Segunbagicha at 10am.

"All preparations for organising the lottery ceremony are complete. The ceremony will begin at 10am, and the lottery will be held digitally," Prof Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel, a member of the Dhaka Metropolitan Admissions Committee and director of the Secondary Branch at the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, told bdnews24.com on Wednesday afternoon.
