Dhaka, Dec. 19 -- Leaders of the hall union have put up posters renaming Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall at Dhaka University as "Shaheed Osman Hadi Hall".

The decision came amid widespread protests on campus following the death of Inqilab Moncho Convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi in Singapore on Thursday night.

By midnight on Friday, the union leaders had affixed posters bearing Hadi's name at the front of the residential hall.
