Dhaka, April 26 -- The death toll from the collision between a pickup van and an autorickshaw in Rangamati's Kawkhali Upazila has risen to six.

The accident occurred around 10:15am on Saturday in Chairman Para of Betbunia union along the Rangamati-Chattogram road, said Kawkhali Police Station chief Md Saiful Islam Sohag.

He said three people died at the scene when a pickup travelling from Chattogram collided head-on with a CNG-run autorickshaw heading towards Rangamati.

Three other injured were rushed to hospital, where two of them succumbed to their injuries.

The remaining injured person was sent to Chattogram for advanced treatment, but he later died while undergoing care at AK Memorial Hospital in Raozan, Upazila Additional Deputy ...
