Dhaka, May 5 -- A court has ordered Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, the spokesman for the Sammilito Sanatani Jagaran Jote, to be shown arrested in the murder case of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif in Chattogram.

Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate SM Alauddin issued the order on Monday after a hearing.

Chinmoy was present at the court virtually for the hearing.

Chattogram Metropolitan Court Assistant Public Prosecutor Raihanul Wazed Chowdhury said the court ordered to show Chinmoy arrested in the case after the hearing.

On Sunday, police had petitioned to show Chinmoy arrested in four cases, including the Alif murder case, a case over obstructing police work, and over an attacking lawyers and petitioners.
