Dhaka, Dec. 21 -- A Dhaka court has issued a travel ban on Faisal Karim Masud, the prime suspect in the murder of Inqilab Moncho Convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi.

The order was issued on Sunday by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Mohammad Junaid, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Prosecution) Mia Mohammad Ashish Bin Hasan.

Detective Branch (DB) Police Inspector Faisal Ahmed, the investigation officer in the case, applied for the ban.

The petition says, "Information is being received through intelligence that the fugitive suspect Faisal Karim Masud, named in the case, can flee Bangladesh at any time. Therefore, it is necessary to impose a ban on his departure."
