Dhaka, Jan. 20 -- A court has given the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) five more days to submit its investigation report in the murder case of Sharif Osman Hadi, convener of Inqilab Moncho.

As the CID failed to submit the report on the scheduled date on Tuesday, Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam directed the agency to submit the report by Jan 20.

Previously, the Detective Branch (DB) of police had submitted a charge sheet on Jan 6, accusing 17 people in the Hadi murder case. However, on Jan 15, the plaintiff - Inqilab Moncho Member-Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber, filed a no-confidence petition challenging the charge sheet. The court subsequently ordered the CID to reinvestigate the case.
