Dhaka, Feb. 2 -- A Dhaka court has ordered the cancellation of plot allotments in the Purbachal New Town project awarded to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina's nephew Radwan Mujib Siddique Bobby and niece Azmina Haque Siddiq Ruponti.

Judge Robiul Alam of the Fourth Special Judge's Court delivered the verdict on Monday, directing RAJUK to revoke the allocations, said Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) counsel Khan Md Moinul Hasan Lipon.

The court handed Bobby and Ruponti seven years in prison each in two separate cases filed over alleged irregularities and corruption in the allotment process.

One case concerns the plot allocated to Bobby, while the other relates to a plot awarded to his younger sister Ruponti.
