Dhaka, Jan. 15 -- A court has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to reinvestigate the murder case of Sharif Osman bin Hadi after hearing objections from a Inqilab Moncho leader to the chargesheet submitted by police.

The application for objection, filed by the platform's member-secretary Abdullah Al Jaber, was accepted by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam on Thursday.

Prosecution Police Deputy Commissioner Mia Mohammad Ashis Bin Hasan said the court ordered the CID to submit its reinvestigation report by Jan 20.

The Detective Branch (DB) named 17 people in the original chargesheet filed on Jan 6.
