Dhaka, March 2 -- Bangladesh Police have filed a case against Md Sumon, a constable from Brahmanbaria, who pretended to be a freedom fighter's grandson to secure his job.
Sumon's deception came to light 12 years after his initial application. Recently, a fraud case was filed against him at Brahmanbaria Model Police Station. He had been in hiding even before the case was filed.
He was arrested from Akhaura Land Port when he returned to Bangladesh from India through the Akhaura immigration checkpoint on Friday afternoon.
Md Mozaffar Hossain, chief of Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station, confirmed his arrest.
