Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- The National Consensus Commission will submit its final report to the interim government "very soon", according to the panel's Vice-Chairman Ali Riaz.

The announcement came at a meeting chaired by commission head and Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Sunday and was later disclosed in a statement by the Chief Advisor's Office.

The hourlong meeting focused on the views of political parties over the July Charter, the methods of implementing it, and the position of the commission on those issues, according to the statement.

Yunus expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far by the commission.
