Dhaka, May 1 -- The body of a college student has been recovered from the Meghna River by a Fire Service diving team two and a half hours after he went missing while bathing "with his friends" Gazaria, Munshiganj.

The rescuers pulled out his body around 5:30pm on Thursday near the ferry terminal near Char Kishoreganj, according to Shafiqul Islam, deputy assistant director of Munshiganj Fire Service.

The deceased, Imam Hossain Noyon, 26, was the son of Zakir Hossain of Kurirpar village in Narayanganj. He was the youngest of three brothers and worked at a company named Asia Tech while studying.
