Dhaka, April 1 -- A squabble among two groups has led to a clash that left at least 50 people injured in Habiganj's Lakhaichhara Upazila.
The incident occurred at East Tegharia village around 11am on Tuesday, said Lakhaichhara Police Station chief Bande Ali Mia.
Police have yet to identify the injured, but said two of them were admitted to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
Abdul Majid, native of Tegharia village had an altercation with Taher Mia from the same village around 11am on Tuesday, police said citing locals.
As the altercation over a "petty issue" escalated, supporters of both groups, wielding local weapons, engaged in a fight that continued for an hour.
