Dhaka, Nov. 18 -- The blockade of roads and rail lines in Dhaka's Mohakhali by students demanding Government Titumir College be converted into a university has led to heavy traffic congestion, leading to suffering for the capital's commuters.
Roads from Dhaka's Kurmitola to Banani were jammed by traffic on Monday afternoon. Traffic was also brought to a halt from Banani to Tejgaon, Tejgaon to Banani, Mohakhali's Amtoli to Jahangir Gate and Mohakhali to Gulshan.
Many passengers chose to disembark from their vehicles and walk to their destinations. Rasel Mahmud was one of the people walking from the Army Stadium to Mohakhali.
