Dhaka, Feb. 6 -- The Chittagong Port Authority has written to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to conduct an investigation into the movable and immovable assets of 15 workers involved in protests against the leasing of the New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT) to foreign handlers.
At the same time, the port authority has sent a letter to the relevant departments seeking to prevent the 15 individuals from leaving the country, citing their alleged involvement in anti-state activities.
The request was made in a letter signed by Chittagong Port Secretary Syed Refayet Hamim on Thursday.
