Dhaka, Dec. 4 -- A four-member team of Chinese medical consultants has sat with the medical board overseeing the treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Dhaka.

The second Chinese team arrived at Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara just after 10pm on Wednesday, according to Shairul Kabir Khan of the BNP Media Cell.

They met board members to review treatment options for the former prime minister, who remains critically ill.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir met the specialists -- Chi Jiang Fang, Yan Xin, Zhong Yuhui and Meng Huang Wu -- upon their arrival and discussed Khaleda's treatment with them.
