Dhaka, June 13 -- Indian police have allegedly pushed nine people, including two children, back into Bangladesh through the border in Mymensingh's Dhobaura by threatening and intimidating them.
The incident took place around 5:15pm on Thursday through the Upazila's Munshipara BOP area, Nayek Subedar Md Khairul Islam of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Munshipara Camp said on Friday.
The group had been living and working in India's Chennai for a long time, according to him. Recently, local Indian residents began threatening them to leave for Bangladesh.
While attempting to return to Bangladesh, they were detained by Indian police, who later pushed them across the border.
