Bangladesh, Aug. 4 -- At least three rickshaw passengers, including a child, have died in a road accident after they were hit by a lorry in Savar's Ashulia.
Another person has been injured in the accident, which occurred around 9:45pm on Sunday in Ashulia's Bypile area on the Nabinagar-Chandra Highway, according to Saleh Ahmed, chief of Savar Highway Police Station.
Police have yet to identify the victims.
Citing witnesses, OC Saleh said: "A rickshaw was going the wrong way down the Nabinagar-Chandra Highway from Bypile to the DEPZ when it hit a pothole filled with water and overturned."
"One of the rickshaw passengers died on the spot when a lorry ran them over."
