Dhaka, Feb. 10 -- The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) prosecution has expressed hope that the verdict in the case filed against former information minister Hasanul Haq Inu over the killing of six individuals during the July Uprising in Kushtia will be delivered this month.
Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam expressed the hope after the hearing on Tuesday.
The tribunal fixed Feb 17 as the date for recording testimony in support of the suspect.
The defence had requested the testimony of five witnesses.
The tribunal, however, allowed only three to testify, citing reasons to fulfil legal requirements.
Tajul said the prosecution's testimony in the case has already been completed.
