Dhaka, March 19 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has urged Qatari businesses to relocate their factories to Bangladesh as part of efforts to strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
He made the call during a meeting with Qatari Ambassador Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday, according to a media statement from the Chief Advisor's Office.
The chief advisor stressed the importance of deepening trade and investment relations between Bangladesh and Qatar.
He encouraged Qatari investors to explore opportunities in Bangladesh's economic zones.
"Bangladesh is now ready for business. We want Qatari businessmen to explore opportunities here in Bangladesh," Yunus said.
