Dhaka, Oct. 12 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has transferred his voter registration from the Grameen Bank Complex in Mirpur to his residence in Gulshan-2, updating the address on his National ID card.
Officials at the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat said that due to this change, Yunus will cast his vote in the parliamentary polls next February at a designated polling centre in Gulshan.
Yunus is now listed under Ward 19 of Dhaka North City Corporation.
Although the transfer was completed in February, it came to light on Sunday, eight months later.
Ahead of the national election, the EC began door-to-door voter list updates on Jan 20, adding new voters, removing names of those dead, and accepting applications for address transfer...
