Dhaka, March 19 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has asked police to prepare in every way to hold the next general elections peacefully.
The instruction came in a statement from the Chief Advisor's Office on Wednesday.
On Monday, Yunus attended a meeting with field-level police personnel, who apprised the head of the interim government about the issues they face.
The statement read: "The chief advisor, home advisor and others held a meeting on Wednesday about how these issues could be resolved."
Yunus gave instructions to swiftly take action on some of these matters for the welfare of grassroots-level police personnel.
