Dhaka, Dec. 22 -- A violent clash has erupted between activists of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and the National Citizen Party (NCP) in Shariatpur Sadar Upazila.
Several crude bombs were detonated during the clash on Monday, leaving at least five people injured.
The incident took place at Chourangi Mor, according to Shah Alam, chief of Sadar Palong Model Police Station.
The injured include Ishak Sardar, 34, Naim Islam, 26, 19-year-old Nirab, identified by a single name, Arman Darji, 25, and Mohammad Ali, 32.
Naim was transferred to Dhaka in critical condition, while the others remain under treatment at Shariatpur Sadar Hospital. All five are Chhatra Dal activists.
