Dhaka, June 3 -- The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has ordered the publication of a public notice in newspapers summoning four suspects, including former Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Habibur Rahman, in a case of crimes against humanity related to the killing of six people in Dhaka's Chankharpul during the July Uprising.
The tribunal set Jun 22 for the next hearing in the case.
On Tuesday, a three-strong bench of the tribunal, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumdar, issued the order following a plea by the prosecution.
The tribunal's registrar has been asked to publish the notice in an English and a Bengali newspaper on Wednesday.
