Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- The Chief Advisor's Office (CAO) has said police will provide security for political party leaders and candidates during the parliamentary elections.

The frontline July Uprising activists will also get security, the CAO announced on Sunday.

A statement from the CAO said a clear guideline will be issued to ensure the security of political leaders and candidates during their movements, at their offices and homes, and while meeting the public.

The guideline will also instruct ways to ensure cybersecurity for leaders and candidates, the notice said.
