Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has paid homage at the graves of his parents, BNP founder Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.

Tarique led members of the newly formed cabinet to Zia Udyan, where they laid wreaths at the mausoleums around 12pm on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the prime minister paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar.

Tarique also planted a tree on the memorial premises and signed the visitors' book.

The cabinet members are scheduled to head to the Secretariat from Zia Udyan, where they will hold their first meeting in the afternoon. The prime minister is also expected to meet with secretaries.
