Dhaka, Dec. 16 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has said Khaleda Zia, hospitalised for nearly three weeks, is an "inseparable part of Bangladesh's important historical chapters".
During his Victory Day address to the nation on Monday, Yunus said Khaleda's illness is a matter of concern for all.
He highlighted that the interim government has treated her condition with "utmost seriousness" from the outset.
"Considering her unwavering commitment to the country's independence, sovereignty, and democracy, her contributions to national development, and the deep respect the public holds for her, the government has already designated her as a person of extraordinary national importance," he added.
