Dhaka, Nov. 26 -- Expressing deep concern and sympathy over the devastating fire at the Korail slum in the capital, Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has ordered an investigation into the cause of the fire and effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

The fire that lasted for more than five hours on Tuesday reduced many homes to ashes.

In a statement issued by the Chief Advisor's Office on Tuesday night, Yunus wished the injured a speedy recovery and sent his condolences to the affected families.
