Dhaka, Nov. 17 -- Assailants have torched a bus in Chattogram on the eve of the verdict in a crimes against humanity case against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

Police and the Fire Service said a city service bus parked on the side of the road in Patenga Kathgarh area was set on fire early on Monday night.

Patenga Police Station OC Kazi Muhammad Sultan Ahsan Uddin told bdnews24.com that the bus was parked beside the road in Kathgarh Bazar. Two young men riding a motorcycle set the bus on fire and fled around 1:30am.

Since there was no passenger or workers on the bus, no casualties took place, the OC said.
