Dhaka, June 27 -- Bangladesh have picked up four crucial wickets to hobble the Sri Lankan innings, but have been unable to prevent the hosts from taking a substantial 154-run lead in the Colombo Test.

Taijul Islam, who has proved handy with both bat and ball throughout the match, got the crucial breakthrough against Pathum Nissanka (158). After a towering innings, Nissanka misjudged the pitch of the ball and ended up pushing it into the hands of Anamul Haque at short cover.

Taijul struck again soon after, picking off Sri Lankan captain Dhananjayar de Silva after catching him before the stumps.

Nahid Rana then got in on the action as Mehidy Hasan Miraz managed to hold on to an edge from Prabath Jayasuriya.
