Dhaka, Nov. 30 -- The BNP has postponed its two-week "Victory Torch Roadshow", originally announced to mark the month of victory in December, due to the "critical" condition of Chairperson Khaleda Zia's health.
Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the decision at an emergency media briefing at the party's Naya Paltan office on Sunday afternoon.
Rizvi added that prayers were being offered nationwide for her recovery.
Khaleda was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara late on Nov 23.
Following medical tests, doctors confirmed chest infections.
