Dhaka, Jan. 27 -- Tarique Rahman has taken the stage at the Mymensingh Circuit House ground for a mass rally.

Thunderous applause broke out at the BNP chief's arrival. Tarique waved to the crowd, greeting the party's leaders and activists.

The BNP chairman arrived in Mymensingh as part of his nationwide election campaign on Tuesday afternoon. It is his first visit to the city since 2003, 22 years ago.

Party leaders, activists, and supporters from the north and south of the Mymensingh districts, and different wards in the city have gathered for the event. Buses of BNP leaders and activists have also come in from Jamalpur, Netrokona, and Sherpur to take part.
