Dhaka, June 23 -- BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed has denounced the public humiliation of former chief election commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda and warned that any party member found involved will face disciplinary action.
"We do not believe in mob culture," the Standing Committee member told bdnews24.com on Monday. "We are relentlessly fighting to establish the rule of law, where court rulings are enforced and the process of justice remains transparent."
Huda was attacked and humiliated at his Uttara residence on Sunday evening, just six hours after being named in a lawsuit BNP filed over holding elections without a "public mandate".
