Dhaka, Nov. 19 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged everyone to move away from mob violence and uphold freedom of expression to establish democracy in Bangladesh.
Describing "tolerance for others' opinions" as a vital aspect of democracy, Fakhrul said: "You must tolerate the opinions of others. if I say (we believe in tolerance) and then I don't tolerate your opinion, I beat you, cause mob violence, I gather a few people together and ask them to vandalise things or lynch a person. this is not democracy."
