Dhaka, Jan. 11 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party's candidate for the Barishal-5 constituency Mazibor Rahman Sarwar's income over the last seven years has declined but his overall assets appear to have increased fourfold over the same time.

This comes after the BNP leader's affidavit for this year's parliamentary elections was compared with his 2018 submission.

In the 2018 affidavit, Sarwar declared an annual income of over Tk 4.8 million.

In his latest submission, he reported an annual income of more than Tk 4 million, marking a decrease of Tk 845,049 over the seven-year period.
