Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has submitted his nomination papers to run from the Dhaka-17 constituency in the upcoming general election.
The papers were submitted on his behalf at the office of Divisional Commissioner and Returning Officer Sharif Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury in Segunbagicha on Monday, according to Abdus Salam, the BNP's chief election coordinator and a member of the party chairperson's Advisory Council.
Salam, who is also serving as Tarique's chief campaign coordinator and chief election agent, expressed his confidence that the BNP leader would win with broad support.
