Dhaka, Jan. 31 -- BNP leader and former state minister Lutfozzaman Babar has fallen ill during his Umrah flight and has been hospitalised in Dubai after falling critically ill and experiencing breathing difficulties.

Babar's Personal Assistant Mirza Haider Ali said, "Sir was on board a flight when he fell ill and began experiencing severe breathing difficulties. He was rushed to a clinic close to the airport after they landed."

"Doctors conducted tests there and recommended admitting him to a hospital. Now sir is admitted to a hospital in Dubai. He is receiving treatment under close observation by doctors."
