Bangladesh, Aug. 21 -- The BNP has held a meeting with a delegation from the US-based International Republican Institute (IRI) in Dhaka, focusing on the country's political landscape in the wake of last year's mass uprising.

The meeting took place at the party chairperson's office in Gulshan at 11am on Thursday.

The three-member BNP delegation was led by Standing Committee member Abdul Moyeen Khan. Other delegates were Organising Secretary Shama Obaid and Advisor to the Acting Chairperson Mahadi Amin.

The IRI team was led by its Asia Pacific Director Stephen Cima and included Deputy Director Matthew Carter and Senior Programme Manager Amitabha Ghosh.
