Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has won the Bogura-6 seat by a wide margin, securing 216,284 votes.

His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel, received 97,626 votes.

On Thursday night, Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Toufikur Rahman announced the final results from all 150 centres at his office.

Tarique won the seat by a substantial margin of 118,658 votes.

The constituency has a total of 454,043 registered voters.

The voter turnout for the seat stood at 69.10 percent, according to Additional District Election Officer Asia Khatun.
