Dhaka, Jan. 31 -- BNP chief Tarique Rahman has taken the stage at an election rally in Sirajganj's BSCIC Industrial Park.

He stepped onto the stage around 3pm on Saturday, where party leaders, activists and supporters welcomed him with applause.

Tarique appeared on stage accompanied by his wife, Zubaida Rahman, and waved to the crowd in response to their greetings.

He is supposed to attend another election rally in Tangail on the third day of his election campaign to north Bengal.

Thousands of BNP leaders and activists from across Sirajganj and Pabna districts joined the election rally to catch a glimpse of their leader. By noon, the rally venue and the adjacent roads were packed with people.
