Dhaka, Feb. 2 -- BNP chief Tarique Rahman has taken the stage at an election rally in Jashore.

The rally got under way at the Jashore Upashahar playground on Monday afternoon.

BNP's Khulna Division's Acting Organising Secretary Aninda Islam Amit said the rally started at 1:30pm, presided over by Jashore district BNP president Saberul Haque Sabu.

Party leaders and activists, along with party candidates, have thronged the rally venue from Kushtia, Chuadanga, Meherpur, Magura, Jhenaidah, and Narail. By around noon, the playground was already full.

At the rally, party Chairman Tarique Rahman, will introduce BNP-nominated candidates from seven districts, including Jashore.
