Dhaka, Feb. 7 -- BNP chief Tarique Rahman is addressing a campaign rally in Dinajpur as part of his tour of northern Bangladesh ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.
He arrived at Birampur Government College ground around 3:15pm on Saturday, marking the final stop of his regional campaign tour.
Party supporters gathered at the venue from across the district throughout the day, with organisers saying preparations had been made in advance to welcome him. The rally ground was filled by early afternoon.
Earlier in the day, Tarique travelled by air from Dhaka to Syedpur before flying by helicopter to Thakurgaon and Nilphamari, where he also addressed public meetings.
He is scheduled to return via Syedpur Airport later in the evening.
