Dhaka, Feb. 10 -- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has alleged that a certain political party is systematically spreading propaganda and preparing to cast fake votes to manipulate the parliamentary polls.

Mahdi Amin, spokesperson for the party's central election steering committee, raised these concerns during a press briefing at the BNP's Gulshan office on Tuesday.

He said the country has witnessed continuous media reports, surveys by reliable institutions, and the large turnout at BNP rallies led by party Chairman Tarique Rahman since Jan 22.

Mahdi added that these factors confirm that BNP enjoys strong public support, and in a free and fair election, the party's victory would be "inevitable".
