Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- The BNP has brought allegations against 500 people, including ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, to the International Crimes Tribunal, or ICT, over the killings of 848 party leaders and activists nationwide during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in July and August last year.

The complaint was filed with the ICT's chief prosecutor on Thursday, said Salauddin Khan, coordinator of the BNP's case and information cell.

Alongside Hasina, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former law minister Anisul Huq, former state minister for information Mohammad Ali Arafat and senior police officers were named in the complaint.
