Dhaka, June 2 -- Authorities at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) have expelled 19 people, including doctors, over their alleged involvement in murder attempts, vandalism and an arson attack in the cabin block area during last year's Anti-discrimination Student Movement.
On Jan 5, the authorities had temporarily suspended 15 people, including two doctors, over the allegations. In total, the administration has now punished 34 people in two rounds over the incident.
BMU Proctor Sheikh Farhad Hossain told bdnews24.com that a disciplinary committee was formed to probe the incidents in the cabin block area on Aug 4 last year, the day before the Awami League government fell.
