Dhaka, Jan. 4 -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines has decided to suspend services on the direct route between Dhaka and Manchester from February.
The airline cited operational reasons, including Hajj flights and other scheduling constraints, as the basis for the suspension. However, it has not indicated when services on the Manchester route will resume.
The suspension was officially announced in a media statement on Sunday.
Biman began operating the Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester route in October 2019 and remains the only airline offering a direct connection on this route.
Earlier, in December 2024, rumours of a potential suspension had sparked protests among Bangladeshi expatriates in the United Kingdom.
